The Fashion-Forward Faces Behind Every Brushstroke

Get to know Danison

and the lead artists bringing Bowtie & Brush to weddings across the country

Full transparency: painting live at weddings wasn’t always the plan. I used to do wedding signage and stationery, but it broke my heart a little. Every detail was painted in my studio, every client meeting was done over video chat, I dropped in to set up while everyone got ready, and was gone before I could even get a glimpse of the dress. So I traded save-the-dates for a paintbrush.

I’m a former Disney accountant, so obviously there’s a spreadsheet behind all of this, but on-site it’s just me capturing how fabulous you look while obsessing over outfits and getting way too invested in your love story. I split my time between Portland and Orlando with an incredible crew of lead artists across the country bringing that same energy to cities I can’t be in myself. I hand-pick every one of them for personality first, skill second, and I personally train each of them, so keep scrolling. You’ll want to meet them.

I’m happily married to my husband Josh, a very proud papa to Emmy (a rambunctious human), and I will absolutely talk your ear off about Naruto if you let me.

THE BOWTIE & BRUSH CREW

The People I'd Trust With Your Wedding Day

I built Bowtie & Brush on one non-negotiable—every guest deserves a moment. And the bigger this thing gets, the more that stays true.

So these are the people I hand-pick and train myself—the ones I'd trust to walk into your wedding and make every single person in the room feel like the most stunning version of themselves. Honestly, that's the whole job.

FLORIDA | ORLANDO & TAMPA

Sydney

Lead Artist

Sydney leads our Florida artists, and she basically had me at hello (or more specifically, the moment she walked into her interview wearing my signature green totally by accident).

Her background is in storytelling, animation, and concept design, and she's currently working toward a Master's in themed entertainment design, so guest experience is basically her whole deal. She also works for Disney in transportation. Translation: she's professionally responsible for getting strangers somewhere safely while keeping them entertained, so really, she was already doing this job. She didn't come in knowing fashion illustration, but I didn't need her to. I can train brushwork. Warmth, though? Can't train that.

She's also a dog person and a certified Disney adult, which made her a very easy yes for Orlando.

Having a wedding or event in Florida? Sydney will be your Bowtie & Brush artist!

THE BOWTIE & BRUSH MISSION

What We Won't Water Down.

There are a few lines we refuse to blend, no matter what.

Everything else about a wedding can flex—the budget, the timeline, all of it. These four lines don't. They're what makes every guest feel like the most stunning version of themselves, and honestly? That's the whole point.

01

Every single guest gets their moment.

Not just the ones who ask first.

02

Our style stays chic, never cartoony.

So don't even ask.

03

Every couple is welcome at our tables.

Full stop. Love is love, and we will not be debating that with you.

04

The guest experience? That's the whole game.

Everything else is just logistics.
