A Wedding Favor They'll Actually Keep

Live watercolor guest portraits, painted in real time by artists who have mastered both color and conversation

Bowtie & Brush brings fashion-forward watercolor portraits—the kind people are still talking about at brunch the next month—to weddings and events in Portland, Seattle, Orlando, Tampa, and beyond. We paint live, ask way too many questions, and always make sure every guest gets their moment. Chic, not cartoony, and always ready to party.

Chic, not cartoon-y

Fashion-inspired portraits that make waists "snatched" and give the guys a few extra inches. And that’s coming from a 5'6" short king.

02

No awkward guest line

We’ll snap a pic of your guests and paint from that, so they can spend their time sipping a signature cocktail named after your dog instead of waiting for paint to dry.

03

Designed for legit events

You literally don't need to worry about us. We’re productive people pleasers who built this process with your utmost happiness in mind.

GOOD QUESTIONS, FRIEND

Live Watercolor Guest Portrait FAQs

A few quick answers to commonly asked questions.

What makes Bowtie & Brush different?

Bowtie & Brush isn’t just any live event experience. It’s a luxury guest experience and a meaningful keepsake. Your guests leave with a modern, fashion-illustration style watercolor portrait they’ll actually keep, the artwork fits an elevated wedding vibe, and I run my ship so smoothly that it feels effortless and your guests feel included on a busy wedding day.

What services do you offer?

Bowtie & Brush offers unique live guest portrait and fashion illustration services that serve as entertainment during your wedding while also giving you a lasting keepsake from your special day or event.

Where are you located?

Washougal, WA. Just 30 minutes outside of Portland.

Do you have a travel fee?

I offer flat travel fees for local events and many popular destinations across the country, so you can get a clear idea without a bunch of back-and-forth.

For local celebrations, this typically covers mileage and gas. For destination events, it may include gas/mileage or airfare, lodging, plus a per diem for food and incidentals.

You’ll see the exact travel fee when you select your region on my inquiry form. If your destination isn’t listed, or if it’s international, a custom travel quote will be required.

Do you have any setup requirements for live events?

I require at least one 4–6 ft table with linen, 1–2 chairs, access to an electrical outlet, access to water, and reliable Wi-Fi.

If the event is outside during the daytime, I must be stationed in a covered area.

How do I secure you for my event?

You will need to pay a 30% non-refundable retainer upon signing the contract. The remaining balance is due two weeks before your event.

MEET YOUR BESTIES

Behind the Brushes

Every lead artist on our roster brings the same two talents: smooth brushstrokes and even smoother conversation. (We’re charmers here. Gird your loins.)

Expect someone well-dressed, quick with a compliment—we'll probably mention your shoes before you even sit down — and somehow still tracking the guest line mid-portrait without missing a beat. Think less "quiet vendor in the corner," and more "guest everyone wants at their table.”
